From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU SO MUCH to those who have already donated to Luu’s care and are helping to make an enormous difference in a very special little girl’s life!!
We are always so encouraged by the support that we get from people all around the world who want to ensure all of the children Little Feather Foundation supports relieve the love, dignity and care they deserve.
We are still searching for monthly donors to help us ensure Luu and her family are able to stay together, and she has access to the palliative care she needs. Please have a look below if you are interested or if you can share the page! $10 a month can ensure she is able to receive the medication to keep her pain and symptoms controlled, $25 a month can cover the costs of nurse visits and $30 will provide Luu with adequate nutrition and met her special dietary needs! One off donations would also be greatly appreciated!
Here is a little update from our recent visit with Luu:
Luu has gained a little weight, her tummy is feeling better and even though it has been very cold where she lives, she has nice warm blankets, beanies and clothes to keep her warm. Best of all, Luu is being much more included as a member of her family. The bouncer we gave her has made it possible for her to be with her family while they sit around the fire though out the day, and her family have been making an effort to hold her and talk to her more.
As the weather heats up we are hoping that Luu will be able to spend more time outside getting a little sun and fresh air and perhaps she will make some new friends.
Disability is still be considered quite a stigma within different parts of the world. We see that Luu’s family are beginning to realise just how special Luu is, and experience moments of joy and pride for their daughter as they do for Luu’s siblings. Luu is just one child, but Luu is also an advocate for other children like her. We hope that Luu’s local community will start to see disability and illness in a new light and discover just how special these children are.
